Before You Call
Prior to signing a contract with any attorney
or law firm, it is crucial for you to understand how they charge for legal services rendered. A general rule of thumb is,
"When in doubt, ask more questions!"
Please be aware that attorneys cannot always estimate exactly how much their services will ultimately cost their clients.
Your case may involve a lengthy resolution in which the lawsuit could go on longer than expected, or it may require more
hours to research, negotiate and litigate. In that case, fees will be adjusted accordingly.
In most cases, Attorney Mary T. Damicone provides an overall range of the total cost before the case is taken. We encourage
new clients to discuss financial concerns during the initial consultation. All clients of Attorney Mary T. Damicone are required
to sign a contractual agreement for legal services.
If you have any questions about your fee arrangement, be sure to discuss these concerns thoroughly with your attorney before
signing a contract. Once a contract is signed, the agreement is obligatory.
At the office of Mary T. Damicone, we work diligently to resolve your case in an efficient time frame
within the constraints of the U.S. legal system. We make every effort to inform the client of the cost he or she may incur
as a result of legal proceedings.
PLEASE NOTE: Before you meet with Attorney Mary T. Damicone, we recommend writing
notes pertaining to your case and gathering documents relevant to your case. If possible, bring copies of all your important
documents and evidence to the first meeting with her. Important documents include police reports, financial statements, medical
records, proof of ownership of real estate or other property, bills, journal entries from Court, etc.
Demonstrating the ability to present your legal issue in a clear, organized way allows you to determine if the attorney you
are meeting with is ideal for handling your case. This systematic approach also helps the chosen legal representatives to
resolve your legal matter quickly and efficiently, within the legal constraints of the law.
